In this article, we will guide you through configuring the Email feature on the Mikrotik Router device, and using Netwatch to monitor and automatically send notification emails.
– The example model has been basically configured, so we only focus on configuring the Email and Netwatch features.
– Go Tools -> Emailto set up Email Settings, in this example we will use gmail, set up according to the image below.
– After setup is complete, select Send Email to check if the email has been sent. If not, you may need to set up security in your Google account.
– Go next Tools -> Netwatchat Host configure the address to monitor, interval. interval is the periodic check interval, in this example it is 30 seconds to check the Host once. At tab Down Add the command below so that when Host A is not online, it will run the Email tool to send email according to the created content to the Email address you want to receive notifications.
