This article will guide you how to use Sign-on Splash Page to restrict access by MAC address on Meraki MR wifi.
1.Configure Sign-on Splash page:
– Go Wireless > Access Controlat splash page select sign-on splash page with Meraki Authentication.
– Section Captive portal strengthselect Block all access until sign-on is complete.
2.Add client device to Whitelist:
+ Add existing devices to the list
– Adding client devices to the Whitelist allows them to bypass the splash page. To add an existing device to the Whitelist, find the device at Monitor > Clientsselect the device by checking the box to the left of the device, select Policy and select whitelisted to Apply policy for the device.
+ Add missing devices to the list
– If you need to add a device to the list but the device is not connected to the SSID, select Add clients to add the client to the Whitelist list by MAC address.
- (Optional) Name : name the client device, leave it blank and it will automatically detect/assign.
- MAC addresses : enter the device’s MAC address, if entering multiple MAC addresses, use each address on each line.
- Select policy whitelisted to apply.
- Select Add clients.
– To review the list of added devices, select all clients with one policy.
– After configuration is complete, whitelisted devices will skip the splash page. All other users will be blocked by the splash page.
